Aquafit / Aquarobics and Masters information below
Here's a challenge for you.
Swim or walk the equivalent of a set distance, a bit at a time, at the Dave Hume Heated Pool.
Register at the pool office $5 (for one way only) and enter your name and date of registration on the chart on the notice board and keep your record up to date. There will be a nice A4 certificate presented to you at the completion of your challenge.
There's no rush - take your time but there is a goal to aim for.
If you don't finish the distance this season, there is always next season.
Aquafit is normally held every Tuesday morning (8.50am to 10am) and Saturday morning (9am to 10am) and is taken by Kate Bailey. Unfortunately, Kate is unable to continue while we are in a RED traffic light setting.
Aquarobics - this has just commenced (on 9 Feb 22) and takes place every Monday and Wednesday mornings (just check the swim times as some Mondays are taken up by school events), 9-10am and the trainer is Kim Thompson.
For both Aquafit and Aquarobics, the cost is made up of a pool entry charge plus a fee for the instructor. Currently, a session is $10 or if you have a 10 / 20 swim pool concession card (Gold or pale yellow), a click off it plus $6.50. If unsure, check with the pool office (07 549-1069).
Katikati Masters has a club session on Sunday morning from 8-10am and Tuesday, Thursday and Friday evenings from 6-7.30pm. Just turn up if you're interested, they are a real friendly bunch and welcome new members who want to get a bit more competitive or just want the companionship of the club and to keep fit by doing a few lengths or more.
