The Dave Hume Pool planned opening day for 2021-22 was Saturday 4 September 2021, however, the Covid 19 lock down means that they cannot open until we move to level 2.
This is earlier than normal as the pools will need to close very early in March 2022, to re-paint both pools - see explanation below
The pools cater for a wide range of swimmers and those who just need to stretch or walk.

The facility closed early on Wednesday 17 March 2021. The reason for this is that both pools need to be re-painted, as the previous paint work has failed (done in Dec 2017).
Unfortunately, we were let down by the lack of communication between the paint manufacturer and painter. As a consequence, the specialised paint was not available until 13 April.
The re-painting was therefore postponed until early March 2022, as the risk of not getting it done in the last two weeks of April 2021 was considered too high.
